How to watch, bet, and more for Rory McIlroy & Dustin Johnson vs. Rickie Fowler & Matt Wolff

The PGA Tour picks up play in June, but May provides us a pair of charity matches featuring the biggest names in the game. On Sunday, May 17th, we get to see Rory McIlroy and Dustin Johnson face off against Rickie Fowler and Matthew Wolff in a Skins Game matchup. There will be $4 million on the line, although all of it is going to Covid-19 relief efforts.

The match takes place at Seminole Golf Club in Juno Beach, Florida. Live television coverage runs from 2-6 p.m. ET, with the broadcast airing on NBC, Golf Channel, NBCSN and Sky Sports. There will also be a free live online stream on PGA Tour Live, GOLFTV, Golfpass, and Golf Channel.

What is a skins game?

When a golfer (or the pair of golfers in this kind of match format) wins a hole, they get a “skin,” which is X amount of money. If the hole results in a tie, the money is rolled over to the next hole. If that hole is tied, it gets rolled over again. That increases the winning amount for the next team to win a hole.

How much is each hole worth?

Holes 1-6: $50,000 each
Holes 7-16: $100,000 each
Hole 17: $200,000
Hole 18: $500,000

What charities are involved?

$3 million will be split between the American Nurses Foundation and CDC Foundation, depending on who wins each hole. Additionally, $1 million will go to Off Their Plate, an organization that provides meals to healthcare workers, based on a birdie and eagle pool.

Who is representing which charity?

McIlroy and Johnson are playing for the American Nurses Foundation. Fowler and Wolff are playing for the CDC Foundation.

What can I bet on?

DraftKings Sportsbook is offering a host of wagers. You can bet on who will win, but you can far beyond that with match and hole prop bets. Among other things, you can bet on the leader after certain holes, who will win the first skin, and who will be the winner for holes 7-16. For specific hole performances, you can bet on Holes 1, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 9, 13, and 17. You can bet on hole winner, and how each of the four golfers will perform on each hole.
