Top NFL Targets at each position for 6-game slate on May 17th

Deshaun Watson has been one of the most consistent forces we’ve seen in Madden sims. We think he can keep rolling in Sunday’s six-game slate.

DraftKings will have yet another six-game slate of Madden simulations on Sunday. The Pittsburgh Steelers at Washington, Carolina Panthers at Tennessee Titans, New York Jets at Green Bay Packers, Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins, Atlanta Falcons at New England Patriots, Jacksonville Jaguars at Houston Texans will all face off in the simulation. We break down the top plays at each position, and you can set your lineup here.

Deshaun Watson, Texans ($7,100) vs. Jaguars

Watson will likely be the top rostered quarterback, as he continues to put up good numbers on a consistent basis. His rushing yards help keep his floor intact and give him a boost into elite DK point totals when he has a strong passing game. His turnovers can sometimes hurt, but for the most part they are eaten by his rushing yards, with a strong average of 48.9 rushing yards per game to go with two touchdown passes per game as well. He’ll continue to be a safe play.

Aaron Rodgers, Packers ($7,400) vs Jets

Rodgers has had some pretty tough simulation matchups of late, facing the Ravens, Bears, Steelers and Rams in his last four with mixed results. The good news is that he gets an awful Jets secondary in Green Bay on Sunday. The Jets Brian Poole is their best rated cornerback, with a 79. That is not good. Jamal Adams is a stud at safety, so it’s not all bad, but overall, I like Rodgers against these cornerbacks.

Running back

James White, Patriots ($5,800) vs. Falcons

White hasn’t been consistent, but he’s coming off a big game in Denver where he rushed for 166 yards and two touchdowns while catching three passes for 19 yards. Sony Michel barely touches the ball, while White is the lead back by a good margin. The Falcons linebackers are weak and should give up receptions as well.

Leonard Fournette, Jaguars ($5,900) at Texans

Fournette has had two down games in a row, but before that was on fire. He’s averaging over 90 yards per game and has 30 receptions through 12 matchups. His receptions aren’t great, but they help his floor enough while his overall usage is near the top in these simulations.

Wide Receiver

Davante Adams, Packers ($7,800) vs. Jets

Adams has five touchdowns in six home games and gets a great matchup in Green Bay against the Jets this weekend. He’s topped 17 DK points in four of his last six games and has seven touchdowns in that stretch. Stacking him with Rodgers is my plan for this slate, as Watson and Hopkins will be a strong stack, thinning out the Rodgers/Adams rosters somewhat.

DeAndre Hopkins, Texans ($8,400) vs. Vikings

Hopkins’ price is up there, but he also has 34 and 48 DK point upside over his last four matchups. He’s also only dipped below double-digit scores twice in 13 games. His rating on Madden is tops on the slate for any receiver and if you can afford him, he should be the safest receiver going today.

D.J. Chark, Jaguars ($5,800) at Texans

The Texans pass defense is bad and Chark has been playing well in these simulations. He has only one game under 10 DK points and that was back in Week 2. He has eight touchdowns in his last seven games and has been better on the road. Pairing him with Gardner Minshew in a value stack is a good move today.

James Washington, Steelers ($3,500) at Washington

The Steelers get a great matchup with Washington and make for a nice stack today despite their low numbers in these simulations. JuJu-Smith-Schuster and Washington would be my stacking choices with Ben Roethlisberger, but if we’re looking for a value play to help us pay up elsewhere, Washington is a good dart throw as he six touchdowns in his last eight games and only costs 3.5k.

Tight End

Ben Watson, Patriots ($4,300) vs. Falcons

Watson has averaged six receptions 80.4 yards per game, making him one of the most consistent tight ends in the game. He does only have three touchdowns though, which limits his upside. Playing at home against a weak Falcons pass defense should be a spot where he can continue to put up numbers.

James O’Shaughnessy ($3,500) at Texans

Another player to add to a possible Minshew stack is O’Shaughnessy. He isn’t a sure fire bet, as his price alludes, but he has also put up much better numbers than his price would make you think. He’s been inconsistent, but he is averaging 4.2 receptions for 55.3 yards per game and has three touchdowns.

Defense/Special Teams

Green Bay Packers ($3,100) at Bears

The Packers have 25 sacks six interceptions and three defensive touchdowns through 13 games and face Sam Darnold and the Jets poor offensive line in Green Bay.
