The Carolina Panthers and Tennessee Titans will face off in a Sunday Madden sim at 2:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contests centered around the game. You can set your lineup and play at DraftKings, and a Panthers-heavy lineup might do the trick.
Captain’s Picks
Christian McCaffrey, RB, Panthers ($15,300)
McCaffrey is about due for a big game, right? The Panthers running back often fails to live up to expectations despite his 99 overall rating, but matches up well against a Titans defense that has only player with an overall rating above 90. The two Titans players with ratings above 85 are both in the secondary, which mean’s McCaffrey should have an advantage on the ground and out of the backfield as a pass catcher. Carolina has the speed on the outside to push defensive backs away from the line of scrimmage, opening up space for McCaffrey on the outside.
Panthers D/ST ($5,400)
Captaining a defense is always a risky play, but I think this is a good opportunity to take a chance. Derrick Henry hasn’t done much of anything on the ground, and Luke Kuechly has been forcing fumbles like nobody’s business. The Titans also have average speed at wideout that could fail to create separation against faster Carolina cornerbacks.
Flex Men
Curtis Samuel, WR, Panthers ($6,800)
Both Samuel and D.J. Moore have speed to burn, but Samuel is the faster wideout of the two. He’s been more productive than the WR1 and has higher upside than most of the the Titans’ wideouts.
D.J. Moore, WR, Panthers ($8,800)
I’d Suggest stacking with Panthers players in this contest, and the best way to do that is by rostering both Carolina’s starting receivers. Moore also has a superstar trait called streak specialist, which improves his route running and catching on streak routes. Having a better chance at hauling in deep passes raises his ceiling.
