The PGA Tour is planning a June 11th return at Colonial Country Club with the Charles Schwab Challenge, but May will bring some high profile matchups for charity. Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson have a charity event planned for Memorial Day weekend, but this Sunday, May 17th, we get a Skins Game matchup for charity.
Rory McIlroy and Dustin Johnson are teaming up to face Rickie Fowler and Matt Wolff at Seminole Golf Club in Juno Beach, Florida, in an event called the TaylorMade Driving Relief 2020. The foursome will play a team skins contest with $4 million going to charity through the event.
The event will be broadcast live on a host of channels and live online streams from 2-6 p.m. ET. The television broadcast will air on NBC, GOLF Channel, NBCSN, Sky Sports, and various other PGA TOUR global media partners. The broadcast will feature commentary from Mike Tirico, analysts Paul Azinger and Gary Koch, and play-by-play with Rich Lerner from an off-site production facility. Jerry Foltz and Steve Sands will serve as on-course reporters.
The match will be streamed in its entirety on PGA TOUR LIVE (NBC Sports Gold and Amazon Prime Video), GOLFPASS, GolfChannel.com, and GOLFTV powered by PGA TOUR. There will also be some pre-match coverage and the first two holes streaming on Twitter.
McIlroy and Johnson are the favorites in the event, installed at -225. Fowler and Wolff are +175 underdogs. You can also bet on various prop bets at DraftKings Sportsbook. They include leader after X amount of holes (3, 6, 12, 15), leader after the front nine, the longest tee shot at holes 3 and 4, and the nearest to the hole on #5 after the tee shot.
