Top NFL Targets at each position for 6-game slate on May 14th

There’s another six-game Madden slate set for Thursday. DraftKings will have a big classic contest going with cash up for grabs. We break down some ideal picks at each position. You can enter your lineups here.

Quarterback

Deshaun Watson, Texans ($6,900) vs. Chiefs

This game has the makings of a shootout. Drew Lock and the Denver Broncos hung 34 points on Kansas City Tuesday, so Watson and DeAndre Hopkins could do something similar. Both sides like to take shots down the field, and that means Watson could get a ton of possessions. Opportunities to score points come with those.

Jameis Winston, Buccaneers ($6,300) vs. Vikings

Winston is second to only Watson in DKFP per game (21.0) and has two of the most dynamic wideouts in the game. Mike Evans and Chris Godwin hav a good chance to haul passes down regardless of coverage, and Winston won’t hesitate to give them a shot.

Other option: Kyler Murray, Cardinals ($6,100) vs. Jaguars

Running back

Leonard Fournette, Jaguars ($5,900) vs. Cardinals

Fournette dropped between 10 DKFP for the first time in his last sim but remains the most consistent option we’ve seen. His price is rising, but he’s well rounded enough to continue being a top performer.

Chris Thompson, Washington ($3,000) vs. Jets

Thompson is Washington’s most productive running back but is as cheap as they come. He hasn’t scored a touchdown just yet but records multiple receptions more often than not.

Le’Veon Bell, Jets ($6,600) vs. Washington

Bell might have the highest ceiling in the slate at running back. Dalvin Cook is up against the Buccaneers’ sturdy run defense, giving Bell an edge. Bell is one of the more versatile back in the slate and doesn’t split his workload.

Damien Williams, Chiefs ($6,000) vs. Texans

Williams is a touchdown machine. He’s scored six touchdowns in his last four games and can explode for huge games on the ground from time to time. He’s tallied double-digits in fantasy points for four straight games.

Other option: James White, Patriots ($5,700) vs. Broncos

Wide receiver

DeAndre Hopkins, Texans ($8,100) vs. Chiefs

Courtland Sutton totaled 31.1 DKFP against Kansas City earlier this week, so there’s no reason one of the game’s best receivers can’t have a similar stat line. He’s the most expensive wideout in the slate and leads all wideouts in DKFP per game (20.9).

Adam Thielen, Vikings ($5,800) vs. Buccaneers

Stefon Diggs has started to show signs of life, but Thielen is still serving as a WR1. Tampa Bay’s secondary can’t match the play of its defensive line, so expect Thielen to be dangerous out of the slot.

Robby Anderson, Jets ($6,200) vs. Washington

Anderson has now strong together three straight games with double-digits in fantasy points. Washington has a below average secondary and Anderson’s 95 speed makes him a dangerous deep threat.

D.J. Chark Jr., Jaguars ($5,600) vs. Cardinals

Chark catches touchdowns at an impressive rate. The wideout scores on 20 percent of his catches and has only dipped below 10 DKFP once in 11 sims. If you want guaranteed productivity but don’t want to pay top dollar, Chark is one of the best options available.

Other option: Tyreek Hill, Chiefs ($7,800) vs. Texans

Tight End

Jordan Reed, Washington ($5,000) vs. Jets

Reed leads all Washington pass catchers with 50 receptions. He’s also caught six touchdowns and has established himself as Dwayne Haskins’ favorite red zone target.

Ben Watson, Patriots ($4,200) vs. Broncos

Watson gets more work than any other tight end in the slate. He leads his position in receptions (72) and receiving yards (932) by a wide margin. He’s affordable and has plenty of PPR upside if he doesn’t score.

Other option: Noah Fant, Broncos ($3,500) vs. Patriots

Defense/Special Teams

Falcons D/ST ($3,100) vs. Bills

Atlanta has held opponents under 20 points eight times in 12 sims and is second to only the Patriots in sacks with 26. Buffalo is a low scoring team that has to grind for points often.
