The Atlanta Falcons and Indianapolis Colts will face off in a Madden sim Friday at 2:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest centered around the game. You can set your lineup and play at DraftKings.

Captain’s Picks

Matt Ryan, QB ($17,100)

Ryan is the most expensive option for a reason. He has premium weapons like Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley and Austin Hooper. He’ll also be up against a below average secondary. He’ll produce throwing to his receivers and Devonta Freeman out of the backfield.

Julio Jones, WR ($16,200)

Jones is a member of the big three that includes Michael Thomas and DeAndre Hopkins at wide receiver. Few defensive backs can cover the trio adequately, but sometimes they don’t get enough targets to produce at a high level. Consider substituting Ridley ($10,200) for a riskier captain’s play, but Jones has a higher ceiling,

Flex Men

Nyheim Hines, RB ($2,200)

Hines is the cheapest player you’ll find averaging double-digits in DKFP. He’s trumped Marlon Macks’ performance at every turn. His 93 speed and pass catching out of the backfield won’t make him a dud for a second straight game after his team was shut out in its last sim.

Zach Pascal, WR ($5,400)

Pascal has been about as productive as Eric Ebron and is much cheaper. He’s scored three touchdowns in his last three games while tallying at least 17 DKFP. He’s proved to be more of a threat than T.Y. Hilton when they Colts get down near the red zone.
