Wednesday’s third and final Madden 20 simulation will be between the Oakland (yes, still Oakland for this one) Raiders and the Buffalo Bills at 8:00 p.m. ET. DraftKings will have DFS contests available for the matchup. We break down the ideal showdown lineup strategy for the contest, which you can play here.
Captain’s Picks
Josh Allen, QB, Bills ($15,900)
Running quarterbacks have had a ton of success in the Madden sims we’ve seen so far, and Allen is one of the best in the business when it comes to that. He has 84 speed and also holds the highest throwing power rating (99) in the game. His big arm could help him take advantage of the Raiders, whose highest rated corner is a 76 overall. Oakland’s lack of talent in the secondary could help him connect frequently with John Brown and Cole Beasley.
Derek Carr, QB, Raiders ($16,800)
Buffalo has a solid secondary, but Carr’s accuracy makes it hard to justify choosing another option as your captain. Even if Darren Waller is his only standout target, he’s a better choice than any of Oakland’s receivers and Josh Jacobs for such a high price.
Flex Men
Darren Waller, TE, Raiders ($8,400)
Tight ends have generally been pretty productive in sims, and Waller is one of the most athletic players at the position and has great catching (94). His 89 speed makes him faster than almost every other tight end. That gives him upside that could make his price worth it.
Cole Beasley, WR, Bills ($7,600)
There isn’t much separating Beasley from Brown ($9,600). Both have 83 overall ratings and are threats to expose the Raiders through the air. Opting for Beasley gets you the same quality for a lower price. So I’d say you should opt for him if you don’t stack them in your lineup.
