DraftKings has an AFC North Madden 20 simulation scheduled for Friday. The Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens will face off on Friday. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest that’s available for the game here.
Captain’s Picks
Lamar Jackson, QB, Ravens ($17,100)
Jackson has all the tools to dominate in this game. He’s has the fourth highest speed rating (96) in the game and is the fastest quarterback by a wide margin. His acceleration (96) only trails Tyreek Hill and Marquise Goodwin. His lethal athleticism with the fact that he has a quality tight end in Mark Andrews and the speedy Marquise Brown on the outside makes it hard to put anybody else in the captain slot. His ability to rack up yardage through the air or on the ground and reach the end zone makes him the best choice.
Nick Chubb, RB, Browns ($13,200)
Baker Mayfield might have one of the most talented receiving corps in the NFL at his disposal, but the Ravens have Earl Thomas and Marcus Peters in the secondary. Chubb has the third highest overall rating (92) in the game among running backs, and Baltimore’s defensive line and linebackers aren’t spectacular. He seems like a safer bet than Odell Beckham Jr. or Jarvis Landry.
Flex Men
David Njoku, TE, Browns ($7,200)
Tight ends have been populars flex plays so far in this Madden 20 simulation format. Njoku is a reasonable option because he’s not a pricey as Cleveland’s other starting pass catchers, but should get his fair share of opportunities to make an impact. He should benefit from not having to match up with Baltimore’s premiere cover men.
Mark Ingram, RB, Ravens ($8,400)
The Ravens are one of the best running teams available at their core. How could you not go with the best running back on one of the best rushing teams in Madden? Ingram will likely only trail Jackson on terms of touches. He has a good offensive line in front of him and should get the kind of volume that justifies playing him. Ingram’s juking and stamina ratings are over 90, and both those skills should help him be effective from start to finish.
