The Scottish Psychopath beats The Beast in about four minutes to take the greatest prize in wrestling

In a very quick and very meaningful match, Drew McIntyre defeated Brock Lesnar to become the WWE Champion in the final match of WrestleMania 36 on Sunday night.

McIntyre withstood three German suplexes and three F5’s from Lesnar, the former NCAA wrestling and UFC heavyweight champion. But McIntyre kept kicking out despite the damage.

Eventually the Scottish Psychopath was able to turn the tide, and with four of his patented Claymore kicks he was able to get Lesnar on his back. With a 1-2-3 pinfall, after a 12-year career in WWE, the one-time prodigy finally became a champion.

With the addition of a backstage preview of the weeks leading up to the match that premiered last night on the WWE Network, it’s no surprise that Drew McIntyre would have rather won the match in front of 80,000 screaming fans in his hometown of Tampa. But doing it in a way without fans that will be very memorable is the next best thing.
