The Green Bay Packers vs. Dallas Cowboys will face off in a simulated Madden 20 game Sunday, and DraftKings will have DFS contests available for the matchup. We break down the ideal showdown lineup strategy for the contest, which you can play at DraftKings.
Captain’s Picks
Aaron Rodgers, QB, Packers ($15,600)
Rodgers was thoroughly outplayed by Dak Prescott for fantasy last season, but their Madden ratings are clearly on Rodgers’ side, as he has an 89 to Prescott’s 80. Both teams have strong cornerbacks, but there’s no clear winner between the secondaries, which has me leaning on the higher rated quarterback in this matchup.
Ezekiel Elliott, RB, Cowboys ($13,500)
Elliott has the second-highest Madden rating in this matchup and is second only to Christian McCaffrey while leading all backs in awareness rating. He is the most-likely to score a touchdown for the Cowboys and should be a safe play due to his usage as a receiver. In the Cowboys first simulation against the Eagles, Elliott didn’t have a big game, but did catch four passes to keep him a useful play and his upside is still very high.
Flex Men
Davante Adams, WR, Packers ($,9,800)
Adams and Rodgers make for the best stack in this matchup, as both have higher Madden ratings than their counterparts. Adams should also get plenty of targets, as he’s way ahead of the other Packers receivers in rating and real-life talent.
Marquez Valdes-Scantling, WR, Packers ($6,400)
Valdes-Scantling is a good play for GPPs, as he has big play ability and great speed while Rodgers has a strong deep passing rating. In their first Madden simulation, MVS caught three passes for 70 yards, proving it’s possible for him to have a useful game despite his low overall rating.
