Captain’s Picks

Derek Carr, QB, Raiders ($15,000)

Carr doesn’t have the best receiving corps, but his options are a lot better than Drew Lock’s. Neither Tyrell Williams or Hunter Renfrow are elite, but Carr is accurate and has solid throwing power (91). Darren Waller also has some of the best hands at the tight end position and should be an asset for Carr regardless of field position.

Phillip Lindsay, RB, Broncos ($13,200)

The second best option for captain is a toss up between Lindsay and Josh Jacobs ($12,900). Both have 85 ratings, but we’ll give the edge to Lindsay because of his 93 speed. Lindsay also won’t have to deal with an elite linebacker like Von Miller throughout the game, so his chances to have success on the ground seem a little better.

Flex Men

Hunter Renfrow, WR, Raiders ($5,000)

Renfrow is a bargain at this price for a starting wide receiver. He’s far less expensive than Tyrell Williams ($9,600), who is far from an elite receiver, but has a good chance at getting similar volume in terms of targets. This is one of the best value plays you can get for a starter who will get a ton of snaps.

Darren Waller, TE, Raiders ($8,200)

Waller is the Raiders’ highest rated (85) pass catcher and is on equal footing with Jacobs in terms of overall rating. But, he’s cheaper than Jacobs and Williams. His 89 speed is above average at his position and his 94 catching is among the best in the game. It’s hard not to go with Las Vegas’ most productive receiving weapon in a flex slot.
