The Arizona Cardinals and Cincinnati Bengals will face off in a simulated Madden 20 game Friday, and DraftKings will have DFS contests available for the matchup. We break down the ideal showdown lineup strategy for the contest, which you can play at DraftKings.
Kyler Murray, QB, Cardinals ($15,300)
Murray’s speed (91) is only second to Lamar Jackson at the quarterback position, and his acceleration is top notch as well. While his receiving corps doesn’t look like the best, he has two versatile running backs in David Johnson and Kenyan Drake. Both can contribute through the passing game and Arizona should be doing plenty of throwing. Larry Fitzgerald’s 93 catching is among the best in the game, so he can be counted on to make plays — even without the the same level of athleticism he used to have.
A.J. Green, WR, Bengals ($16,200)
Green sat out all of 2019 with an ankle injury in the real world, but he’s healthy in the Madden universe. While he’ll likely be covered by Patrick Peterson, his 92 catching and 96 stamina will make him a factor throughout the game. His 96 catching in traffic stat only trails DeAndre Hopkins and Michael Thomas, so he could come up with some big plays despite tight coverage.
Joe Mixon, RB, Bengals ($8,400)
Mixon is Cincinnati’s second best offensive weapon, but has a good chance to get more touches than Green. He’s an asset as a traditional running back and contributes to the passing game as well. He’s fast with above strong juking and stamina, as well as above average catching at his position.
John Ross III, WR, Bengals ($5,400)
Ross might not have the best overall rating (76) but his 97 speed is the third highest mark in the game. His catching (78) is decent enough, and it only takes one play for him to break out with a ball over the top. Why not take a risk on a speedster like Ross? He’ll likely make at least a small contribution to the offense as the third starting wideout, and he has something a top speed no defensive player can match.
