Best lineup strategy for Bulls vs. Wizards NBA simulation Showdown

The featured simulated basketball contest on DraftKings for Wednesday afternoon is between the Chicago Bulls and Washington Wizards. Here, we’ll go over how to approach lineup construction for the fantasy basketball contest.

Captain’s Picks

Bradley Beal ($15,900)

This is really a two-man race for Captain between Beal and Zach LaVine ($15,000). I don’t mind either option really, but Beal is clearly a better option given the type of ceiling games he’s had this season. Beal has 31 games of over 30 points in his 57 games this season. LaVine? Only has 19 games of over 30 points this season. Plus, Beal has a few games of 40+ and 50+ points, so his fantasy ceiling is way higher. There aren’t many buy-low type of plays for the Captain slot. Nobody would have the ceiling that Beal has, so he’s pretty much a lock for this contest with LaVine.

FLEX Options

Wendell Carter Jr. ($5,000)

Carter has started 43 games this season and is averaging around a double-double per contest. Then why is his price so low? I’m not exactly sure why. He had been back in the lineup from injury for six games before the NBA closed down its season. Most of his box scores from before the injury are solid, giving us reason to question this low price. WCJ is among a few appealing Bulls plays for this sim.

Kris Dunn ($4,200), Chandler Hutchison ($1,600) and Shaq Harrison ($1,000) are a couple of extreme values on Chicago we can look at to help fit in both Beal and LaVine. If I’m looking at some plays from the Wizards, Thomas Bryant ($4,600) is pretty cheap given he’s one of the few serviceable big men for Washington.
