Let’s cut to the chase: Win a slice of DraftKings cash via Food Network’s Chopped

Tonight’s Food Network episode will pay for the tasting menu almost anywhere, as there’s $1000 available if you answer 10 questions correctly.

Since tonight’s DraftKings Sportsbook Chopped picks contest features celebrity chef Amanda Freitag, you’ll probably want to focus on the French cuisine. And make sure you have your mise en place in place by 8:00 p.m. tonight!

Tonight’s episode is “Beat The Judge: Amanda” where contestants that have won on previous shows will compete against Chopped judge Amanda Freitag. Freitag is the former executive chef at The Harrison in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood, and has worked at Cesca and Gusto. She’s also worked with renowned chefs such as Jean-Georges Vongerichten and Alain Passard.

Here’s tonight’s show description:

“Three champions get back in the kitchen with their sights set on taking down Amanda Freitag; the champions know it will be a hard challenge when they open up the first basket and find chicken gizzards and fish heads.”

Yikes! For the appetizer round?? That’s a tough lift. So let’s make some picks for a few of the 10 questions you’ll need to answer correctly to win up to $1000.

“Will any contestant forget a basket ingredient?”

* Yes

* No

Each week of this season in the DK pools, we continue to say no here. As all of these chefs have competed on Chopped previously, it’s pretty unlikely anyone would forget an ingredient having been under the pressure and hot lights before while prepping. We’ll keep saying no here until the rookies return.

“Will any judge use the term “undercooked” or “raw” when grading the entree round?”

* Yes

* No

With just 20 or 30 minutes to prepare a dish, sometimes the visions in a chef’s head ideas get ahead of what’s actually possible. If it was just “raw” we might be a no, but undercooked is more often a yes than a no across nine plates to be assessed by three judges: especially with 27 opportunities to undercook your food!

Who will win?

* Amanda Freitag

* One of the challengers

As venerable as her resume is, Amanda hasn’t won much in cooking competitions on tv. She finished fourth in “The Next Iron Chef” in Season 2, lost in the finale of Season 5 of the same show to Alexandra Guarnaschelli, and has lost on Chopped before. She might be a terrific chef, but her track record under the lights and with a clock isn’t great.

How many female judges will there be?

* Zero
* One
* Two
* Three

There’s one less woman to have in the rotation of Chopped judges tonight, which run about 50/50 between male and female. We’ll play the math here and go with just one for tonight’s episode.
