Top NFL Targets at each position for 6-game slate on April 28th

There are $3,000 up for grabs in Tuesday’s six-game slate of Madden simulations. The Detroit Lions, Carolina Panthers, Los Angeles Chargers, Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars, Atlanta Falcons, Buffalo Bills, Philadelphia Eagles, San Fransisco 49ers, Houston Texans, Baltimore Ravens, and New Orleans Saints will take the field. We break down the best plays at each position below. You can enter your lineups here.

Quarterback

Philip Rivers ($6,700) vs. Browns

Rivers has eclipsed 27 DKFP in three of his last four contests. He averages the most DKFP (20.4) in the first trio of games. Cleveland doesn’t have the elite defensive backs to stop Rivers’ quality group of pass catchers.

Jimmy Garoppolo ($6,800) vs. Texans

Garoppolo is far from being the best passer in this slate, but the Texans don’t defend against the pass very well. Even without a dominant receiving corps, Garoppolo can dominate. George Kittle has been extremely productive and is as good as any WR1 — Especially against Houston.

Other options: Cam Newton ($6,300) vs. Lions, Josh Allen ($5,900) vs. Eagles

Running back

Christian McCaffrey ($7,600) vs. Lions

McCaffrey is the best running back in the game and can contribute on the ground and through the air. The Lions’ pass defense is abysmal, which boost McCaffrey’s value as a pass catcher out of the backfield. All top players should receive consideration for captain’s spots against Detroit.

Leonard Fournette ($5,300) vs. Falcons

Leonard has continued to produce at a high level for a reasonable price. He’s been one of the most consistent players in the slate. He’s reached double-digits in all six of the simulations he’s played in, so he can be depended on.

Tevin Coleman ($5,200) vs. Texans

Coleman is getting all the carries for the run-powered 49ers. The offense is basically Garoppolo, Kittle, and Coleman. The running back has a great offensive line, gets plenty of touches, and has little competition from his backups.

Miles Sanders ($4,800) vs. Bills

Sanders is another versatile guy who’ll get plenty of touches. He’s managed to average 15.1 DKFP per game with only two scores in six games. He racks up PPR points and could have a huge game with a touchdown or two.

Other option: Kareem Hunt ($4,700) vs. Chargers, Alvin Kamara ($6,100) vs. Ravens

Wide receiver

Odell Beckham Jr. ($7,200) vs. Chargers

Beckham hasn’t dipped below 18 DKFP since his first sim. Although the Chargers have quality defensive backs, but I’m banking on Beckham’s 99 spectacular catch rating to help him get the job done. He’s scored in five straight games and has tallied eight touchdowns in six contests.

Keenan Allen ($7,400) vs. Browns

Rivers has been hot, and so has Allen. Stacking these two Chargers could help maximize the potential of your lineup in Showdown or classic formats. The Browns don’t have a single interception and are giving up nearly 20 points per game.

Will Fuller V ($4,700) vs. 49ers

Fuller has a ton of speed to burn and should benefit from DeAndre Hopkins being matched up against Richard Sherman. He has had a level of production similar to Hopkins’ for nearly half the price. You can’t pass up that deal.

Michael Thomas ($8,200) vs. Ravens

Thomas is the best receiver in the game but hasn’t performed at a very high level. He’s been above average in simulations but not great. That doesn’t mean he can’t get hot against Marlon Humphrey though. He should get a fair amount of targets with Marcus Peters in the other side for Baltimore. He just has to bring them down and get in the end zone. He might not be worth his price, but he has the highest upside of any receiver in the slate.

Other option: Julio Jones ($7,700) vs. Jacksonville, Nelson Agholor ($4,100) vs. Bills

Tight End

Greg Olsen ($5,000) vs. Lions

Olsen is averaging just over 10 DKFP per game and is up against the Lions. I like his upside against Detroit’s linebackers. He’s one of Newton’s favorite targets and should be one of the favorites to score in the red zone alongside McCaffrey.

George Kittle($6,300) vs. Texans

Kittle is the best tight end in the game and the Texans have a porous pass defense. Kittle has performed as well as any WR1 and is head and shoulders above the rest of the field. This is a simple one.

Other option: Austin Hooper ($5,200) vs. Jaguars, Jared Cook ($4,800) vs. Ravens

Defense/Special Teams

Panthers D/ST ($2,700) vs. Lions

Luke Keuchly will be leading Carolina’s linebacker group while Donte Jackson and James Bradberry hold down the secondary. Carolina has the highest scoring defense in the slate and has put up big numbers against better competition.

49ers D/ST ($2,700) vs. Texans

San Francisco has an above average pass rush and a strong secondary. Houston should gave virtually no run game aside from Deshaun Watson scrambling. If Watson can connect with Hopkins and Fuller deep, Houston could underperform.

Other option: Bills ($3,000) vs. Eagles
