Best lineup strategy for 49ers vs. Texans Madden simulation Showdown

George Kittle could have a huge game against the Texans’ lackluster secondary.

The San Francisco 49ers and Houston Texans will face off in a Madden sim Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest. You can set your lineup and play at DraftKings before kickoff.

Captain’s Picks

George Kittle, TE, 49ers ($13,500)

The best tight end in Madden is a must play against one of the NFL’s worst secondaries. While San Francisco depends on the ground game more than most teams, Kittle is the top target and will be difficult to stop from scoring when the ball is in the red zone.

Deshaun Watson, QB, Texans ($16,800)

Watson is gonna throw the ball in this one. Lamar Miller could have a tough time against San Fransisco’s defensive line. Even if Watson takes a few sacks or throws picks against the 49ers, he’ll keep chucking it to DeAndre Hopkins and Will Fuller into garbage time.

Flex Men

San Francisco 49ers Defense/Special Teams ($3,200)

The 49ers have everything going for them. They have a strong secondary with Richard Sherman and Jimmie Ward, as well as a defensive line featuring Nick Bosa and DeForest Buckner. San Francisco is well rounded and could shut Houston down if DeAndre Hopkins is a dud.

Tevin Coleman, RB, 49ers ($7,400)

Coleman should be a priority in most San Francisco sims. He dominates the 49ers’ other running backs when it comes to touches. The 49ers have studs on the offensive line and a running back who will get carries and receptions. It’s hard to pass that up.
