Running back dynasty rankings for 2020 fantasy football

Will Christian McCaffrey be able to hold off the running back crowd again to stay atop the dynasty rankings in 2020?

The NFL Draft is over, and, as usual, rookie running backs will cause a ripple effect in 2020 fantasy football dynasty leagues. The top backs remain at the top, as Christian McCaffrey, Saquon Barkley and friends are where they should be, but the shelf life of running backs is short and we need to be ready in dynasty to keep replenishing the position.

Deciding on when to let go of a running back in dynasty leagues is tough and sometimes it’s worth letting one go at the height of their ability, but much depends on the makeup of your team. Just remember, no player should be off the board in trade discussions in dynasty leagues.

Your top running back rookies in dynasty are Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Jonathan Taylor, D’Andre Swift, J.K. Dobbins, and Cam Akers. Their presence hurts the fantasy vaklue of Damien Williams, Marlon Mack, Kerryon Johnson, Mark Ingram and Darrell Henderson.

Taylor and Edwards-Helaire have the greatest fantasy upside and should make the quickest impact, but they aren’t players that automatically burst into the Top-10 dynasty rankings like someone such as Saquon Barkley would.
