DraftKings has a major three-game slate set to kick off on Monday at 6:00 p.m. ET. The lineup will feature the Dallas Cowboys, Pittsburgh Steelers, New England Patriots, Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs, and Seattle Seahawks. The free-to-play DFS contest for the slate will shell out $100,000 dollars total. The winner will get $10,000. You can enter this five times in this contest, and we break down the best lineup strategies to help you out below. Sign up and play here.
Quarterback
Tom Brady ($7,400) vs. Packers
Tom Brady’s abundance of superstar traits is a game changer. His underwhelming receiving corp hasn’t seemed to affect his production one bit, as he leads the slate in DKFP per game (21.8) at his position. He’s thrown for at least 300 yards and four touchdowns in two of his last three games and should continue to perform at a high level.
Other options: Patrick Mahomes ($8,200) vs. Seahawks, Dak Prescott ($6,400) vs. Steelers
Running back
Ezekiel Elliott ($6,800) vs. Steelers
Elliott is easily the best running back in the slate, so it makes sense that he’s also the most expensive. He hasn’t dipped below 17 DKFP in three contests and leads all running backs in fantasy points per game 15.1. If he has a slow game on the ground, he makes up for it through receptions most of the time. The reverse is also true.
Damien Williams ($5,400) vs. Seahawks
Williams is the cheapest among starting running backs but has been more productive than most of the players ahead of him. He might not be known for being dynamic between the tackles, but he’s a reliable safety blanket for Patrick Mahomes. His PPR upside is second to none.
Other option: James White ($6,000) vs. Packers, Jaylen Samuels ($3,300) vs. Cowboys
Wide receiver
Phillip Dorsett ($3,300) vs. Packers
Dorsett is a cheat code. He’s in the running for GOAT as far as DraftKings NFL DFS goes. He leads all wideouts in DKFP per game (18.1) and exploded for 133 yards and two scores in his last outing. He might not produce at that same for a second straight game, but his 95 speed makes him an elite deep threat in the sims that’ve been played so far. You can’t find a better deal anywhere else in the slate.
Tyreek Hill ($8,000) vs. Seahawks
If you find a solid value play at wide receiver, there’s nothing wrong with paying up for an expensive asset in one of your other two slots. Hill has game-changing speed like Dorsett, but won’t have to face the kind of quality defensive backs Amari Cooper and Davante Adams will be up against.
Other option: JuJu Smith-Schuster ($6,200) vs. Cowboys, Amari Cooper ($6,400) vs. Steelers
Tight End
Ben Watson ($4,800) vs. Packers
Watson has surprisingly put up better numbers than Travis Kelce through six sims. Getting similar production from a player who’s $2,100 cheaper than the top option seems like a great steal.
Other option: Will Dissly ($4,500) vs. Chiefs, Travis Kelce ($6,900) vs. Seahawks
Defense/Special Teams
Patriots D/ST ($3,700) vs. Packers
Betting against Aaron Rodgers usually isn’t the best idea, but I think this is an exceptions. Adams will have the best cornerback in the game covering him and the rest of the Packers’ pass catchers are underwhelming for the most part. Rodgers will likely have to bank on his WR2 and WR3.
Other option: Chiefs ($3,000) vs. Seahawks
