The 2020 NFL Draft is upon us, and Thursday night will see a host of changes to team depth charts at key positions. Most teams are fairly settled at the quarterback position, the first round could bring some players who will shake things up for a handful of teams.
LSU quarterback Joe Burrow will be first off the board to the Cincinnati Bengals, but it becomes a bit of guess-work who goes after that. Tua Tagovailoa and Justin Herbert are decent bets to go fifth and sixth to the Dolphins and Chargers, respectively, but a trade could change that in a hurry. After that, it’s anyone’s guess where Jordan Love and others will go.
DraftKings Sportsbook offers odds on who will be the Jacksonville Jaguars starting quarterback when Week 1 arrives this fall. Gardner Minshew is a sizable favorite at -305 following the trade of Nick Foles to the Bears. Andy Dalton and Cam Newton are listed next at +800 apiece.
The draft is where things could get interesting. Herbert, Love, and Tagovailoa are all sitting at +1400. Herbert and Tagovailoa seem out of the Jaguars reach, but they do have a second first round pick they could deal to move up. Minshew had his moments, but it’s hard to see the Jaguars ready to go all in on him long term. They are as interesting a team to track tonight as anybody for that reason.
We’ll update these odds as they potentially change following the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Gardner Minshew: -305
Andy Dalton: +800
Cam Newton: +800
Justin Herbert: +1400
Jordan Love: +1400
Tua Tagovailoa: +1400
Jameis Winston: +1400
Joshua Dobbs: +3300
