Captain’s Picks

Sam Darnold, QB, Jets ($15,900)

Although Darnold and Jacoby Brissett have similar ratings, the Jets have a better secondary. I like the chances of him producing at a higher level than Brissett with Robby Anderson, Jamison Crowder, and Le’Veon Bell are strong. Darnold has better accuracy and targets.

T.Y. Hilton, WR, Colts ($15,000)

Hilton’s 91 catching and 96 elusiveness should create problems for the Jets’ cornerbacks. While Jamal Adams can be a factor over the top, Hilton has enough wiggle to make an impact on shorter catches by racking up yards after the catch.

Flex Men

Nyheim Hines, RB, Colts ($2,800)

Hines has continued to flirt with double-digits in Madden simulations. He’s making more of an impact than Marlon Mack and is significantly less expensive. He’s not amazing running between the tackles, but his 93 speed makes him a threat of runs to the outside and when catching passes out of the backfield.

Eric Ebron, TE, Colts ($7,400)

Ebron is second to Hilton in terms of pass catching. Brissett’s best trait as a passer is his short throw accuracy. Look for Ebron to be a big target in the red zone or a safety net for if shots down the field don’t work out.
