Justin Herbert passes Tua Tagovailoa as favorite to be 2nd QB off the board

Joe Burrow will be the first quarterback off the board later this week at the 2020 NFL Draft. The big question is who will be the second QB off the board. The odds are changing.

The 2020 NFL Draft is three days away, and we are looking at as many as four quarterbacks getting selected in the first round. Joe Burrow, Tua Tagovailoa, and Justin Herbert look like sure things to go on day one, and Jordan Love is a strong bet as well. The big question right now after Burrow goes No. 1 is where the other three quarterbacks will go.

Most people expect Love to be the fourth quarterback off the board. Todd McShay has bet Mel Kiper Love goes ahead of Herbert, but wagering of late might suggest that is highly unlikely. DraftKings Sportsbook offers odds on which quarterback will go second and which will go third. We’ve seen some serious movement in these odds.

DK Sportsbook opened the odds last month, and Tagovailoa opened as a heavy favorite to go second. He was -500 while Herbert was +200. Meanwhile, odds for third quarterback off the board had Herbert at -200 and Tagovailoa at +500.

Today, a little over 72 hours until the draft, the names have flipped to some degree. Herbert is now -125 to go second while Tagovailoa is -110. Meanwhile, for the third QB off the board, the two quarterbacks are both even money. Jordan Love is well behind both for second at +2000, and closer for third at +400.

The rumor mill has gone into overdrive about the Dolphins potentially not looking to draft a quarterback in the first round and the Chargers being more interested in Herbert. The odds are not meant to be a predictor of what will happen, but rather looking to get some balance of money evenly split. But the odds are offering us a potential hint at what might happen on Thursday night.at
