The Green Bay Packers and Kansas City Chiefs will square off in DraftKings’ Monday Madden simulation slate at 8 p.m. ET. DK will have a Showdown DFS contest for the matchup, and we break down the ideal lineup strategy. You can set your lineup here.
Captain’s Picks
Aaron Rodgers, QB, Packers ($16,500)
You can’t go wrong with Rogers. He might not have a strong receiving corps, but he is putting up consistently big production at 16.2 DKFP per game, and actually has improved each week. His accuracy should help him get the ball to Davante Adams, particularly given how open Adams should get against this Chiefs defense. Rodgers is also a decent scrambler. He’s rushed for 18 yards in each of the last two simulations.
Travis Kelce, TE, Chiefs ($12,900)
Kelce only trails San Francisco’s George Kittle in overall rating. Kittle gets the boost from his blocking, but for purposes of daily fantasy football, Kelce is the better offensive threat because of the Chiefs’ playing style. Kelce is Mahomes’ favorite target and he is the highest scoring player in this matchup. Whether he’s your captain or flex, you should have Kelce in your lineup.
Flex Men
Patrick Mahomes, QB, Chiefs ($11,600)
Mahomes is the highest rated quarterback in the game and has two top-notch weapons at his disposal in Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce. Mahomes has ridiculous throwing power (96) and accuracy at all three levels. Hill is the fastest wideout in the game and Kelce’s overall rating (96) is second to only George Kittle’s (97) at tight end. Then there’s Damien Williams, who is an asset as a pass catcher out of the backfield. Mahomes has not been quite as good as his rating has indicated, so saving a few bucks and flexing him seems the better call.
Mason Crosby, K, Packers ($4,200)
Crosby has been one of the most dominant kickers in Madden sims. He’s averaging 9.3 DKFP per game and has scored at least eight points in each of his three games. He’s a model of consistency and should get plenty of scoring opportunities against a bad Chiefs defense.
