Odds for who Bears start under center in Week 1

Nick Foles is the favorite to be the Bears’ starting quarterback in 2020.

Update, April 23: The Bears head into tonight’s NFL Draft with odds the same for their Week 1 QB. Nick Foles is listed at -159, Mitchell Trubisky is +125, and Tyler Bray is +6000. They’re not expected to draft a quarterback in the early rounds, so this should not change. A day three pick might still be a possibility, however.

The Chicago Bears have a quarterback competition on their hands. They acquired Nick Foles from the Jacksonville Jaguars this offseason, and he’s expected to challenge Mitchell Trubisky for a starting spot in Week 1. DraftKings Sportsbook is taking bets on who Chicago will play under center to kick off the 2020 NFL season, and here’s what the odds look like.

Foles (-159) is the favorite to win the job. He restructured the four-year, $88 million deal Jacksonville gave him and has $21 million remaining on his contract. That’s a hefty price to pay for a backup, so it’s logical to assume that he’ll get the nod.

Trubisky (+125) is right behind Foles. The fourth-year quarterback showed promise in year two, but regressed in year three. He won’t be an unrestricted free agent until 2021 if the team picks up his fifth year option. He’ll have to look significantly better than Foles leading up to the regular season to come out on top.

Tyler Bray (+6000) is a long shot and probably won’t be considered unless injuries come into play.
