Best lineup strategy for Seahawks vs. Vikings Madden simulation Showdown

Russell Wilson has too many skills and assets to not be effective in Saturday’s Seahawks-Vikings Madden sim.

The Seattle Seahawks and Minnesota Vikings will face off in Saturday’s final Madden simulation at 8:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal showdown lineup strategy for the contest, which you can play at DraftKings.

Captain’s Picks

Russell Wilson, QB, Seahawks ($17,400)

Wilson is nearly $2,000 more expensive than the second priciest option in this contest for a reason. He’s the second best quarterback in the game in terms of overall rating (97) and also has the best deep throw accuracy (96) in the game. He has a dangerous vertical weapon in D.K. Metcalf and can also make plays with his legs.

Dalvin Cook, RB, Vikings ($12,900)

Cook is the fifth best running back in the game and has solid speed (91) and elusiveness (90). He can contribute on the ground and through the air.

Flex Men

Adam Thielen, WR, Vikings ($8,000)

Thielen has been the most productive Vikings wideout in sims so far and is significantly cheaper than Stefon Diggs ($10,200). The two are neck and neck with one another in terms of stats across the board. Either one could have a big game. Why not opt for the value play here?

DK Metcalf, WR, Seahawks ($5,800)

Metcalf has blazing 95 speed and should benefit from playing alongside Wilson when running deep routes. He breaks tackles at a high rate as well, which could help him secure yard after the catch on shorter routes. This is just a great price for a starting wide receiver with his physical tools.
