The Jacksonville Jaguars and Tampa Bay Buccaneers will face off in Monday’s second Madden sim at 5:00 p.m. ET. We break down the ideal Showdown lineup strategy for the DFS contest. You can set your lineup and play at DraftKings.
Captain’s Picks
Jameis Winston, QB, Buccaneers ($16,200)
Winston has the highest ceiling in this contest. He has two premier targets in Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, as well as a capable tight end in O.J. Howard. There’s a good chance he’ll try to stretch the field with some deep throws throughout the game, and Jacksonville doesn’t have enough talent in its secondary to hold down Tampa Bay’s wideouts for four quarters.
Mike Evans, WR, Buccaneers ($16,500)
Evans is the highest rated (92) pass catcher in this game. While his catching (90) doesn’t stack up to Godwin’s (97), his catching in traffic (95) gives him the potential to make some plays despite stiff coverage. If the Bucs get into the red zone, it’ll be hard for any cornerback or safety to stop Evans from making an impact.
Flex Men
Leonard Fournette, RB, Jaguars ($8,400)
Leonard shouldn’t be challenged by his team’s RB2 and has rushed for over 70 yards and a score in each of his last two simulations. I think Leonard is more valuable than D.J. Chark ($8,800), but he costs less. I like him to continue having success on the ground and contributing to the passing game as well.
Breshad Perriman, WR, Buccaneers ($3,200)
Perriman’s speed (95) makes him a wild card in this game. One non starter in Tampa Bay’s receiving corps will likely exceed expectations, and my bet is on Perriman. He’s a deep ball threat that could get more than one chance to catch long distance heave from Winston.
