Netflix’s Tiger King has transcended our safer-at-home culture. The hit series tracking some outrageous real-life characters in the exotic zoo animal industry involves lions, tigers, and bears, with plenty of methamphetamines and alleged murder-for-hire thrown in, too. And we have celebrities from Cardi B to Jared Leto as obsessed as all of us are with a train wreck that is equal parts hilarious and terrifying.

DraftKings is offering a variety of free-to-play pools during this time of social distancing, and they’ve added one for Tiger King. It is a popularity pool in which you select what will be the most popular choices by the overall pool of contest entrants. If you pick the most correct, you have a chance to win $2,000. You must submit your picks by 9 p.m. ET on April 5th.

I have been assigned to really dive deep and give sharp analysis on the nexus of federal wildlife law violators, the music they create, and the actors destined for Emmys and Oscars via their dramatic interpretation. Let’s take a look at what the best picks might be below!

You don’t want a Joe Exotic vs. Carole Baskin relationship with your co-entrants, as picking only your personal favorites would be as effective as Joe’s legal strategy. You need to think about what your fellow fans, people that have 5.5 hours to donate to the hottest mix of true crime and exotic animals ever created, feel about the characters involved. And those characters are both humans and members of the Panthera genus.

So if you, like Joe Exotic, are “outspoken, good looking, love to party and have fun” you can enter today! Let’s break down some of the questions and make some best bets.

Which Exotic Animal Park owner is your favorite?

* Carole Baskin
* Joe Exotic
* Dr. Bhagavan “Doc” Antle
* Mario Tabraue
* Jeff Lowe
* Tim Stark

It’s kind of like asking what’s your favorite disgusting food to eat, but you’ve got to pick one here. Mario Tabraue certainly has one of the more sordid pasts of all these characters, but he also seems to be in it for “the right reasons“ in reality television parlance. He’s only in the show very briefly, but he likely has the least detractors partially for that reason. It’s like being the best entree at a roadkill restaurant, but we’ll take Miami’s Mario.

Which Exotic Animal Park owner is your LEAST favorite?

* Carole Baskin
* Joe Exotic
* Dr. Bhagavan “Doc” Antle
* Mario Tabraue
* Jeff Lowe
* Tim Stark

Let’s face it, this is a Hall of Fame worthy list of reprehensible. But the #FreeJoeExotic campaign that has emerged seems to have some steam, even when Cardi is trying to make money moves on your behalf.

The backlash to Tampa’s Carole Baskin however — who we might have some regrets writing about rather positively seven years ago ourselves — is palpable and tangible. There are plenty of people out there that think she absolutely killed her previous husband, and the Hillsborough County Sheriffs Department is very open to speaking to you if you know anything. The two million views of Exotic’s music video that accuses her of feeding him to her tigers seems to indicate a strong belief she literally got away with murder.

With six contestants you don’t need a majority, just a plurality. And we think enough people believe the crazy cat lady indeed got away with murder.

Most Iconic Quote

* “Hey there all you cool cats and kittens!”
* “I saw a tiger, and the tiger saw a man.”
* “Does it feel good to stand on my stage with 500-pound tigers and everybody envy you? Absolutely.”
* “I’ve been on the cover of ‘Hollywood Magazine’ twice.”
* “I don’t watch new on television, unless there’s a cat involved.”
* “The want the lion’s share but they don’t want to share the lions.”

One look at a Google shopping search should answer this one. “Hey there all you cool cats and kittens!” will be on the whiteboard outside Carole Baskin’s cell or on her tombstone, whichever comes first. Sharpie.

P.S. If you’re a woman walking alone on Tampa’s Nebraska Avenue in the early 1990s and a gentleman in a vehicle pulls up next to you, something nefarious is absolutely happening. Trust the locals here.

Who would be the best actor to play Joe Exotic?

* Danny McBride
* Ed Norton
* David Spade
* Jared Leto
* Dax Shepard
* Leonardo DiCaprio

Any role Leo wants is probably his, but we doubt he goes this far down the scale. David Spade played the original Joe Exotic sans wildlife as Joe Dirt, and his interviews with the show’s cast on social media are incredible, but unless it’s a comedy that might be a tough turn for him.

Danny McBride has played Kenny Powers and Jesse Gemstone to type, but also showed some serious chops in Alien: Covenant. We’ll go with him.
