UPDATE: The Warriors team doctor said Curry is dealing with traditional flu and not coronavirus.
The Warriors will be without both Stephen Curry (illness) and Draymond Green (knee) for their game against the Sixers at home on Saturday night. Curry returned from injury Thursday against the Raptors while Green was held out of that game. Steph is likely just getting rest with the quick turnaround. Let’s take a look at the impact this will have in fantasy basketball and betting.
With both Steph and Dray out, Andrew Wiggins ($7,700) becomes a very appealing tournament play on DraftKings. Also a big plus to Marquese Chriss ($5,900) and Eric Paschall ($5,500). The Sixers have been getting killed in the paint without Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons in the lineup. Mychal Mulder ($3,700) and Dragan Bender ($3,300) are good value options.
The Warriors are now 2.5 underdogs at home against the Sixers after the Steph and Dray news. This makes sense. While the Sixers are without Embiid and Simmons, they made easy work of the Kings on the road the other night. The O/U is down to 221.5, which seems fair. It’s tough to call. Philly’s offense should have an easy time getting points against the Dubs. My feel is the over is the way to go since the Sixers struggle to defend the interior and are allowing more points with Biid and Simmons off the court.
