Everything you need to know about Week 5 of the 2020 XFL season

The XFL is back for Week 5, which means we are approaching the halfway point of the 2020 debut season! We’ve got some separation in the standings, with the Houston Roughnecks and St. Louis BattleHawks leading their respective divisions and looking like they could pull away sooner rather than later.

After those two, the DC Defenders, New York Guardians, and Dallas Renegades all sit at 2-2 and the Tampa Bay Vipers, LA Wildcats, and Seattle Dragons are 1-3. It’s hard to tell how to sort out these six teams for the time being, but Week 5 could offer some clarity.

DC hosts St. Louis, and either the BattleHawks will take a strong lead in the division, or we’ll be back to uncertainty. LA hosts a potentially surging Tampa Bay with both teams look to get back into the playoff race. Dallas vs. New York is a big game as well, but St. Louis-DC and TB-LA are the two biggest games for sorting things out a little more.

The XFL will once again be featuring four nationally televised games, with two of them on broadcast network stations, and two on cable. The weekend opens with Houston hosting Seattle at 2:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, airing on ABC. Dallas hosts New York at 5:00 p.m. that evening on FOX. On Sunday, FS1 will air St. Louis vs. DC at 3:00 p.m., and ESPN will air Tampa Bay vs. LA at 9:00 p.m.
