UPDATE: 11:35 p.m. Neither Mac McClung nor Omer Yurtseven will play today.
—
A rough season for the Georgetown Hoyas continues as their two top scorers Mac McClung and Omer Yurtseven are listed as doubtful for Saturday’s regular season finale against the Villanova Wildcats.
Yurtseven, a senior center who has team highs averaging 15.8 points, 10 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game, will likely miss his fourth straight game with an ankle injury and has played just once since Feb. 8. McClung is in danger of sitting out his fifth consecutive game with a foot injury. He is averaging 15.7 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.4 steals.
Georgetown has lost six straight games and is 0-3 without McClung and Yurtseven on the court the last three contests including a pair of losses by 15 points or more.
The Hoyas come in to tonight’s matchup as 7.5-point underdogs at DraftKings Sportsbook and are 1-4 against the spread in their last five games. Meanwhile, Villanova is 8-3 straight up on the road including 7-3-1 against the spread. Motivation will be on the side of the Wildcats as Georgetown is nowhere near an at-large bid, while Villanova is battling for a Big East title and an improved NCAA Tournament seeding.
