Top NBA targets at each position on DraftKings for March 5

We go over some top daily fantasy basketball options on DraftKings for Thursday’s four-game slate.

Here are five players to consider at each position for Thursday’s four-game basketball slate on Draftkings:

Point Guard

Terry Rozier, CHA vs. DEN ($6,200) — After going through a prolonged slump, Rozier appears to be back on track. He’s scored at least 35 DKFP in three of his last four games and could be looking at a bump in usage since Devonte’ Graham is questionable to play. When Graham is off the court, Rozier leads Charlotte with a 25.1% usage rating.

Shooting Guard

James Harden, HOU vs. LAC ($10,700)Harden’s price is a bit down at the moment, making him an interesting target. Even though the Los Angeles Clippers have a great defense, they have been average against shooting guards. Against point guards, they allow the fifth fewest DKFP, so we could see more of the offense filter to Harden with Russell Westbrook in a lesser role. Harden has scored over 70 DKFP in two of his three games against the Clippers this season.

Small Forward

Paul George, LAC at HOU ($7,400) — Another buy-low player, George is close to his cheapest salary of the season. He’s played limited minutes since coming back from a hamstring injury although it’s hard to know how much of this is by design and how much has been a result of four of the Clippers’ last five games being decided by double-digits. In a marquee matchup against the Rockets, this seems like a spot where we should see George play his normal minutes. Houston allows the most DKFP to small forwards, making this a great time for George to bust out of his slump.

Power Forward

Al Horford, PHI at SAC ($7,000) — After getting banished the Sixers’ bench, Horford has been thrust back into a prominent role since Ben Simmons, Joel Embiid and Josh Richardson are all injured. With all three of them off the court, Horford is scoring 45.31 DKFP per 36 minutes this season. Until Philly gets healthier, it is going to have to keep leaning on Horford to play a big role.

Center

Nikola Jokic, DEN at CHA ($9,500) — The Nuggets are coming off their worst loss of the season. After closing as 15.5-point favorites at home against the Golden State Warriors, Denver inexplicably lost by 16 points. This shouldn’t happen again. Looks for Jokic to carry his team against the Hornets, who are allowing the second most DKFP to centers.
