Stephen Curry to play around 25 minutes in return to lineup [UPDATE]

UPDATE: March 5, 1:16 p.m. — Curry is expected to play around 25 minutes, per coach Steve Kerr. At $8,000 on DraftKings, it’s hard to trust Curry as nothing more than a leverage GPP play. Most lineups will shy away from Curry because of the limit. It’s not out of the question, though, for Curry to return value in just 25 minutes. All it takes is one hot streak and Steph could get there. I’d still shy away from exposure to Curry, maybe a few lineups in low-pop GPPs.

Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is set to make his return from a 58-game absence this week. He is scheduled to make his 2020 debut Thursday against the Warriors, according to The Athletic’s Anthony Slater. He was initially set to return to the team on March 1st, but the date was pushed back after he was sent down to Golden State’s G League affiliate, the Santa Cruz Warriors.

Curry has missed a majority of the season with a fractured hand, which he suffered four games into the season. He is averaging 20.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 5.6 assists per game and will return to a team that ranks dead last in the Western Conference at 14-48.

The Warriors will likely finish out the year without Klay Thompson, who is recovering from an ACL tear he suffered in last year’s NBA Finals. However, they have added Andrew Wiggins, to the mix. He and Draymond Green will serve as Curry’s co-stars in the back half of the 2019-20 season.
