Stevens: Jaylen Brown expected to miss at least one week

Celtic G is sidelined for Wednesday’s game vs. the Cavaliers and coach Brad Stevens claims the hamstring injury will hold Brown out for seven days minimum.

The Boston Celtics got some more bad news on G Jaylen Brown before Wednesday’s game vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers. Brown is expected to be sidelined for at least one week due to the hamstring injury he suffered in Tuesday’s loss to the Nets, coach Brad Stevens confirmed to reporters.

With Brown sidelined, plus injuries to Kemba Walker and Gordon Hayward, this will keep Jayson Tatum as the focus of the offense. He had been crushing it prior to all these injuries, so things shouldn’t change much. With Brown sidelined for an extended period of time, Javonte Green and Brad Wanamaker should get more minutes off the bench. I’d expect once Walker returns for Kemba and Marcus Smart to start in the back court. Smart also gets a bump, though his price on DraftKings has been way too lately.
