Best lineup strategy for Mavericks vs. Bucks NBA simulation Showdown

We’ve got another simulated basketball Showdown contest on DraftKings for Tuesday afternoon. This one will be between what was once the MVP race in the NBA. The Dallas Mavericks and Luka Doncic vs. the Milwaukee Bucks and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Here’s where you can enter and be sure to check out the rules before locking in your lineup.

Captain’s Picks

Starting at the top is of course Doncic and Giannis. The Greek Freak is $19,200 and Luka is $18,300. Both are going to be the trendy captain options in this contest, but it’s likely chalk that is worth eating. You can’t question the type of upside and both players possess the type of floor for the Captain spot at 1.5x FPTS. Really, the only other option I’d consider at captain is Khris Middleton ($13,800) and he may be the sharp play to try and fit in Giannis and Luka at FLEX.

FLEX Options

If we’re trying to cram in both Giannis and Luka, we’re going to need to find some value. If you opt to go value at captain, you don’t need to worry so much about fitting in Luka, Giannis and Middleton. Jalen Brunson at $3,400 isn’t a bad lineup filler to save some $$$. Brunson is done for the season but had filled in for Doncic when he was injured. If you hit on one of those high minute games, you’d be in a good shape. Maybe I’d consider Willie Cauley-Stein since he was with the Warriors earlier in the season. So at $2,800, if you roll one of those box scores, WCS has a nice shot at bringing back value.
