Odds to win the Patriot League conference tournament

Colgate is the favorite, but can someone else walk away with the automatic bid from the Patriot League?

The Patriot League does have a dominant team in the Colgate Raiders, but they will have a couple challengers for the NCAA Tournament at-large bid. The PL’s top team also picked up the biggest win of the year for any league team when they knocked off Cincinnati on the road in mid-December.

By NET, the Raiders are 115th, 42 spots ahead of any other team in the league.

Max Mahoney and the Boston University Terriers are the second choice after finishing tied for second in the league. They were swept Colgate by over two games during the regular season, and will have to go on the road likely twice to claim the crown due to losing a tiebreak with the American University Eagles.

AU split with Boston and were swept by Colgate during the regular season. Senior guard Sa’eed Nelson averages 18.4 points and 5.0 rebounds per game, and will be one of the best players on the court in the tournament.
