The DePaul Blue Demons could be without their star big man Paul Reed for the second consecutive game with a hip injury, according to Don Best. The NBA Draft prospect is listed as questionable with a hip injury for tonight’s matchup against the Marquette Golden Eagles.
DePaul definitely missed Reed’s presence against the Butler Bulldogs on Saturday in a 60-42 road loss as nobody on DePaul’s roster scored in double figures. DePaul has been on a major free fall, losing 10 of its last 11 games to put the Blue Demons at the bottom of the Big East.
Reed is averaging a double-double this season for DePaul with 14.9 points, 10.6 rebounds, 2.6 blocks, 1.9 steals and 1.6 assists per game. In the last matchup with Marquette, he finished with 14 points and seven rebounds and fouled out in a four-point loss on Feb. 1.
DePaul is a 4.5-point home underdog against Marquette tonight according to DraftKings Sportsbook. This will be the Blue Demons’ final home game of the season against a Marquette team that lost four of its last five games.
