Utah Jazz All-Stars Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell have both been cleared of COVID-19 coronavirus, The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported Friday afternoon.

The Jazz players were at the forefront of the NBA suspending play a few weeks ago. Prior to the Jazz-Thunder game on March 11, Gobert had popped up on the injury report due to illness. There were concerns about a possible outbreak at the arena, so the game was postponed. Gobert and Mitchell later tested positive for COVID-19 and the NBA decided to suspend play indefinitely as a result. It’s great to see that both All-Stars are healthy and cleared of the virus.
The NBA hasn’t released anything official, but there is optimism that the League can resume some time in May or early June. Commissioner Adam Silver recently reduced the salaries of high-ranking league officials in an attempt to ease the blow of the economic hit. Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban was also optimistic about the League returning before June 1.
