WWE Superstar Roman Reigns has decided to pull out of his scheduled WrestleMania 36 match with Goldberg, and the WWE is respecting his decision according to a report from Pro Wrestling Sheet.
Sources with knowledge of the situation tell us Reigns expressed to WWE that he didn’t feel comfortable doing anymore of the Performance Center shows during the coronavirus pandemic because he’s immunocompromised from his battle with leukemia and didn’t want to risk his health.
The Big Dog was scheduled to face Goldberg for the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania, but now a replacement opponent for the 53-year-old Goldberg will be found instead. Reigns has had two battles with leukemia in the past, and worries about his immune system made a rightful concern here.
Having to stay home is tough for kids. This is even more so for children with cancer, like leukemia survivor, King. @LLSUSA and I encourage you all to hang in there. LLS is here to help cancer survivors during these difficult times. Learn more: https://t.co/FZATSVSbiv pic.twitter.com/GdQNWHLu2c

Reigns has been a part of every WrestleMania since the 30th edition in New Orleans six years ago. Some of his past opponents at the Showcase of The Immortals have included Brock Lesnar, The Undertaker, and Triple H. He’s one of the biggest stars in the business, and it’ll be interesting to see how the WWE reacts to his decision.
Who will pinch hit for the The Guy at the Performance Center next weekend? We’ll be interested to find out.
