The biggest move the Colts made so far is between signing Philip Rivers to a one-year deal and acquiring DeForest Buckner for their first round pick. Buckner is the better long-term deal for the team but Rivers was needed to give them a fighting chance in 2020. He didn’t look good in 2019, but he gets an upgrade at offensive line and should be able to fit Frank Reich’s tight end friendly offense better than Jacoby Brissett did last season.

Team needs
Offense
Wide receiver is likely the biggest need for the Colts, as they have yet to find someone who has stepped up next to T.Y. Hilton. This is also a fairly deep draft for wide receivers and with no No. 1 pick, the Colts could still get decent value at pick 34.
The offensive line is strong, but they aren’t deep. Adding depth, especially with an old quarterback behind center, is always a good call. And speaking of that old quarterback, the Colts still don’t have their QB of the future. If one they like lands in their lap, they should take the risk.
Frank Reich loves tight ends and just lost Eric Ebron. He has Jack Doyle and Mo Alie-Cox, but usually has three useful tight ends on the roster.
Defense
Indianapolis could still beef up their defensive line even after the Buckner trade and the recent addition of Sheldon Day. The Colts were below average in getting to the quarterback last season and any help they can get in that area is needed.
Dream first pick
Losing their first round pick likely takes the Colts out of grabbing a quarterback, but a player like Jacob Eason is a possibility. But, the depth at wide receiver should be too hard to pass up. If Denzel Mims or Jalen Reagor are there, I’d expect them to pounce. Mims is the player I’d hope for as a Colts fan.
