Update 4/5: I... I have no idea what we just saw. But the most amazing cinematic fever dream that was a merged history of the psyche of John Cena and a satire on the last 35 years of sports entertainment was incredible. Just go watch it, because it can’t even be described here. But we’re going to call that a win for The Fiend, even if it might have not been in this reality??
Titus O’Neil speaks for all of us after having watched that:

The sports analogies for sports entertainer Bray Wyatt are plentiful. The Chicago Cubs from 1908-2015. The Knicks since 1974. And so on. No one has been more beloved by fans and failed as publicly on the big stage
And he’s facing Big Match John, who has had more WrestleMania moments than anyone. But could this finally be the turning point?
The Fiend Bray Wyatt vs. John Cena
How did this feud develop
It goes back to WrestleMania 30, and a tremendous bit of storytelling with a not-great ending. But for this round, basically The Fiend showed up on a ramp at SmackDown a few weeks ago, took advantage of #PointAtTheWrestleManiaSignSZN, and Cena accepted. So... yeah.
Bray Wyatt has been one of the beloved characters by sharp WWE fans since his arrival on the main roster. He has been a WWE champion, but his record at the Showcase of The Immortals is rather Buffalo Bills-esque:
XXX - lost to John Cena
XXXI - Lost to The Undertaker
XXXII - Wyatt Family member Erick Rowan gets squashed by The Rock, no match
XXXIII - Lost to Randy Orton
XXXIV - Helps Matt Hardy win Andre The Giant Battle Royal, no match
XXXV - Nowhere on the broadcast
But his work as The Fiend, a supernatural character that can be quite terrifying, has him in line to finally break that streak. He dropped the WWE Universal Champion strap to Goldberg in a controversial show in Saudi Arabia in February, and let’s just say the smarks were a bit upset about it.
To take one of the most popular characters amongst fans, and have him lose yet again to the now part-time Face That Runs The Place, would be very upsetting to everyone that gives Dave Meltzer money. The WrestleMania crowd would really boo a lot... if there was a WrestleMania crowd this year.
Even with the terrible booking Wyatt has had this decade, it almost seems impossible to have him lay down to a five-knuckle shuffle. But if it did happen, Bray might be able to sell a lot of shirts as The Anti-Taker however (get it?).
Where this feud stands now
In stasis until they get in the ring. This is one of those set up for Mania shots, with not a lot behind it. But it should be great anyway.
The pick
Bray Wyatt finally gets his WrestleMania moment. It’s a shame he won’t be able to share it with 80,000 fans however.
