The sports world is on hold over coronavirus. Because of this, many leagues are trying to shift to a news product. For NASCAR, that means simulations that will replace that actual race. This weekend on Sunday, the NASCAR Cup Series will return but only on a screen. The eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series will take over temporarily for the actual series, which has been put on hold until at least April.
How to watch eNASCAR iRacing Pro Invitational Series
Time: 1:30 p.m. ET
TV Info: Fox Sports 1
Track Simulation: Homestead-Miami Raceway
The event will feature the usual suspects, including NASCAR studs Dale Earnhardt Jr., Chase Elliott and Denny Hamlin. Here’s an example of this type of race, which was live streamed over YouTube earlier in the week.
This race will be in place of the Dixie Vodka 400, which no driver has dominated in recent years. Kyle Busch, last year’s NASCAR Cup Series winner, won the event last year and in 2015. He’s the only driver who’s won the race twice in the last decade.
However, Joey Logano entered March on a hot streak. He’s second in the standings and won the Penzoil 400 in mid-February, as well as the FanShield 500 in early March. He’s had success at Homestead-Miami Raceway, as he won the Dixie Vodka 400 in 2018. Kevin Harvick holds a narrow lead over Logano in the 2020 standings and last won the event in 2014.
