Golden State Warriors PG Stephen Curry is “scheduled” to play in Thursday’s game vs. the Brooklyn Nets, per coach Steve Kerr. This basically means that Curry is expected to return to the lineup. The Warriors earlier announced that this game will go on as scheduled, but there will be no fans in attendance at Chase Center in San Francisco.
Curry has been dealing with an illness, though he tested negative for COVID-19 (coronavirus) and it was considered the regular flu-like symptoms. Curry has missed the past two games for the Dubs after returning to the lineup last week vs. the Raptors. He had missed 58 games due to a fractured hand, though that injury seems fine.
With Curry back in the lineup, it gives the Dubs a chance at actually getting a win. They defeated the Sixers over the weekend without Curry, but Philly is also without Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons. With Steph back, we should see him play around 26-28 minutes again. He’ll be an interesting play given how he looked last week vs. the Raps. Juan Toscano-Anderson is out and Damion Lee and Andrew Wiggins should see a bit less usage/shots with Curry in there.
