Philadelphia 76ers All-Star Ben Simmons will be re-evaluated in three more weeks, The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported Wednesday afternoon. Simmons has been sidelined with a nerve impingement in his lower back and has been progressing well, per Shams. This isn’t exactly great news for the Sixers. This would mean Simmons maybe has a shot to return sometime in April before the regular season ends. It seems Philly is content with holding Simmons out as long as possible so he’s OK for the playoffs.

The good news for the Sixers is Joel Embiid (shoulder) should get back into the lineup soon. It could be Wednesday night or sometime this week. Simmons being out means Shake Milton and Josh Richardson should continue to operate as the primary back court duo. J-Rich has also been hurt but is expected to be back.
