UPDATE March 11, 9:29 p.m. Scruggs won’t start, but will play for the Musketeers tonight.

Update March 11, 9:09 p.m. Scruggs is warming up, so it appears like he could play if everything goes smoothly.

Update March 11, 8:34 p.m. Scruggs is expected to be a game-time decision, according to The Athletic’s Shannon Russell. This one looks like it’ll go down to the wire.

Paul Scruggs is currently listed as questionable with a hamstring injury and it is uncertain whether the Musketeers will have their third leading scorer available as they head into their match up with DePaul on Wednesday night. Scruggs has missed two games since suffering this injury at practice on March 3. He missed Xavier’s game the next day as they lost to Providence 74-80. He was unavailable once again as Xavier fell to Butler in a very close game with a final score of 71-72 on March 7.

The Musketeers can use all of the help they can get as they enter into the Big East tournament as the 6th seed. Scruggs is currently averaging 12.7 points per game, 4.5 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game on the season. He is shooting 46.3% from the field. Scruggs may be missed on the defensive end the most, as he is touted as one of the team’s best defenders.
