North Carolina Tar Heels guard Brandon Robinson is questionable for Tuesday’s first round matchup in the ACC Tournament against the Virginia Tech Hokies with a head injury. He left Saturday’s game against the Duke Blue Devils and returned in the second half despite Roy Williams declaring him doubtful to play the rest of the game.
Robinson is the team’s third leading scorer at 11.9 points per game with 3.1 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.1 steals for the Tar Heels this season in 22 games.
North Carolina and Virginia Tech faced off against one another Jan. 22, a double overtime game that resulted in a 79-77 home win for the Hokies after Tyrece Radford hit the game-winning shot. Cole Anthony and Robinson missed the game with injuries. Robinson was recovering from neck pain suffered in a car accident.
It’s still strange to see North Carolina coming in dead last as the 14 seed in the ACC Tournament, but the Tar Heels played well to close out the regular season. They won three in a row before a 13-point loss to Duke over the weekend and covered the spread four times in their last six games.
The Tar Heels are 3.5-point favorites against the Virginia Tech Hokies on Tuesday night with the over/under set at 142 at DraftKings Sportsbook. Both teams struggled against the spread in the regular season with the Hokies finishing 2-12 against the number in their final 14 games.
