Brad Pitt wins his first Academy Award for acting, and was a huge favorite in the category for his work as an aging stuntman in Once Upon A Time in Hollywood.

Brad Pitt had won an Oscar previously, but only as a producer for 12 Years A Slave. But in a category with some high-powered A-listers, he was an overwhelming favorite and it is no surprise he takes home the Best Supporting Actor at the 92nd Academy Awards on Sunday night in Hollywood.

Pitt’s portrayal of aging stuntman Cliff Booth was a performance that filled up the screen, and his pairing once again with Quentin Tarantino paid huge dividends. Pitt was the massive favorite to win, with -2500 odds before the ceremony, meaning you’d have to wager $25 to win just $1 if you bet on him. His odds moved furiously in the lead up to Sunday night, opening at -1000, then getting all the way down to -3335 on February 5th.

Joe Pesci picked up a lot of late steam, getting down to +1000 himself with as much as 37% of the wagers at DraftKings Sportsbook, but it was all for naught as Pitt comes away with the victory.
