Breaking down updated XFL title odds heading into Week 1

The XFL is set to kick off its inaugural season on Saturday, and DraftKings Sportsbook has odds to check out for Week 1 and the season as a whole. Below we’ve listed out odds for each team to win the inaugural XFL Championship game in April.

The new league has plenty of names on the field and among the coaches that provide some basic information as to who is worth considering for a championship. But we also know plenty of players we’re not regularly tracking will emerge as stars of the new league. Plenty remember when Rod Smart, a.k.a. He Hate Me, emerged as a star in the original XFL. There will be plenty of players to track as Week 1 provides the first bits of real information.

In the meantime, assessing title odds at least means getting a handle on current depth charts is a good starting point:

We’ve posted the opening odds from Monday and where they stand on the first game day of the year. The biggest change is the LA Wildcats sinking from +550 to +800. Quarterback Josh Johnson is questionable for the team’s season opener due to a thigh injury that kept him out of practice this week. He’s viewed as one of the best players in the league, so any absence in a ten-game season is a big deal. If he only misses a game, look for their odds to improve.
