Marcus Morris goes to Clippers in three-team trade

The Wizards joined the Clippers and Knicks in the Morris trade, sending the veteran guard to L.A. as well.

UPDATE: Feb. 6, 2:59 p.m. — The Wizards joined this trade to make it a three-way deal, sending Isaiah Thomas to the Clippers as well. So L.A. gets Morris and IT for the championship run.

UPDATE: Feb. 6, 2:10 p.m. — The Clippers and Knicks are finalizing a deal to send Morris to L.A., per Shams. Morris adds another big body to the Clippers front court alongside Montrezl Harrell, Paul George, Kawhi Leonard and Ivica Zubac.

Morris had been having his best NBA season with the Knicks statistically. He’s averaging a career-high 19.6 points with 5.4 rebounds while shooting 43.9% from long range. His toughness and ability to play multiple positions is an asset for the Clippers, who are already one of the best defensive teams in the NBA.

The Los Angeles Clippers and New York Knicks are in serious talks for PF Marcus Morris, per multiple reports from Shams Charania and ESPN.
