Happy NBA Trade Deadline day, folks! We’ve been waiting a while for the climactic (or anti-climactic) finish to trade season in 2020. It’s expected to be a busy afternoon leading up to 3:00 p.m. ET when the trade window closes. Big name such as Kevin Love, Andre Drummond, Derrick Rose and D’Angelo Russell could be on the move and would change the landscape of the league as we head towards the postseason. We’ll finally find out which teams will be sellers and which will be buyers heading into the 2020 NBA Draft and offseason.

Here we’ll be updating you with all the latest trades, news, rumors and analysis for both fantasy basketball and betting. As news floods in, we’ll drop in the details and get you prepared for how to approach things in fantasy basketball, DFS and on the books.

NBA Trade Deadline live updates

Update, 3:00 p.m. — The Wizards jumped in at the last minute to send Isaiah Thomas to the Clippers in the Marcus Morris deal.

Update, 2:44 p.m. — The Heat-Grizzlies trade got more interesting as if it couldn’t get any more intricate. The Timberwolves have jumped in and will send Gorgui Dieng to the Grizzlies for James Johnson.

Update, 2:32 p.m. — The Washington Wizards are trading SG Jordan McRae to the Denver Nugget for PF Shabazz Napier, per The Washington Post’s Candace Buckner.

Update, 2:19 p.m. — We’ve got another Woj Bomb. This time it’s the Detroit Pistons sending Andre Drummond to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Here is the full package, per The Ringer’s Kevin O’Connor:

Update, 2:12 p.m. — The Clippers and Knicks are finalizing a deal to send Morris to L.A., per Shams Charania.

D’Angelo Russell-Andrew Wiggins trade recap

We’ve got our first WOJ BOMB of the day! D’Angelo Russell is headed to the Timberwolves in a deal for Andrew Wiggins and draft picks. Here are the details:

So here’s the general outline of the deal:

Warriors receive: Andrew Wiggins, 2021 first-round pick, 2022 second-round pick
Timberwolves receive: D’Angelo Russell, Jacob Evans, Omari Spellman

Update, 1:39 p.m. — The Clippers and Knicks are engaged in talks for Marcus Morris, per Shams.

Update, 1:37 p.m. — The Trail Blazers are trading PF Skal Labissiere to the Hawks for cash, per Woj.

Update, 12:59 p.m. — The Suns haven’t received any significant offers for Kelly Oubre Jr. that would entice them to move the forward, per Marc Stein of The New York Times.

Update, 12:56 p.m. — The Rockets expressed interest in Cavaliers C Tristan Thompson, but the asking price was too high, per Yahoo Sports’ Chris B. Haynes.

Update, 12:40 p.m. — The Clippers are trading G Derrick Walton Jr. to the Hawks, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

This is a minor trade since Walton was low on the depth chart at guard for L.A. It also helps the Clippers clear a bit of salary to make a run at adding a veteran piece to its roster for the title run. Walton’s contract is worth $1.4M this season on an expiring deal.

Update, 12:20 p.m. — Is an all out Bulls exodus about to go down? Not likely, but the Sun Times is reporting that Lauri Markkanen among other players isn’t particularly happy and that the team should look to clean house. It may not come before the deadline at 3:00 p.m. ET, but we’ll keep an eye on Chicago. Denzel Valentine has also popped up in trade rumors.

Update, 12:13 p.m. — Woj has the full details on the Heat-Grizzlies trade:

Update, 11:58 a.m. — Woj has some more details on the Heat-Grizz-Thunder saga. Apparently the Thunder are not ready to jump in and include Danilo Gallinari, but talks are ongoing.

Here’s a good overview of the moving parts, courtesy of Anthony Chiang:

Update, 11:48 a.m.Jae Crowder has been traded to the Heat as part of the Iguodala deal, per Shams. Charania is also reporting that Solomon Hill is headed to Miami as well.

The Heat are sending Dion Waiters to Memphis as part of the deal as well.

Update, 10:56 a.m. — It’s looking like the Pistons will hold onto both Andre Drummond, Derrick Rose and Markieff Morris heading into the deadline at 3:00 p.m. ET, per Yahoo Sports’ Chris B. Haynes and Keith Smith.

Apparently a sign-and-trade is the only possibility but would be a long shot, per Rod Beard.

The Pistons also got an offer for Christian Wood from the Celtics, but didn’t budge, per James Edwards III.

Update, 8:41 a.m. — There was a lot of action overnight with the Heat-Grizzlies-Thunder three-way deal. Andre Iguodala is going to Miami and Danilo Gallinari is joining him it seems. We don’t know all the details of the trade, but we know the Heat want to sign Gallo to an extension, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.

We’ve already had a handful of deals go down prior to Thursday. Here’s a recap of a few:
