Meyers Leonard to miss multiple weeks for Heat

Miami big man did not travel with team on trip out West while he recovers from ankle injury.

Miami Heat C Meyers Leonard is expected to miss multiple weeks recovering from an ankle sprain, the team announced Wednesday. Leonard injured his ankle in Monday’s game against the Sixers and did not return. He didn’t travel with the team to L.A. for Wednesday’s game vs. the Clippers.

Fantasy basketball analysis: Miami Heat C Kelly Olynyk

With Leonard out, the Heat will be down their starting center. Chances are we’ll see Bam Adebayo shift to center with Olynyk moving into the starting rotation at power forward. Olynyk is a decent play on Wednesday’s main slate on DraftKings at $3,400. He could see around 20-25 minutes and scored 19 points with nine boards against the Clippers a few weeks back.
