UPDATE: New developments from Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Denver Nuggets could emerge as the fourth team to facilitate this trade.

There is a three-team trade involving the Hawks, Rockets and Timberwolves that is in serious talks, per Shams Charania of The Athletic. The deal would send Robert Covington to the Rockets and Clint Capela to the Hawks. The T-Wolves would take on Evan Turner’s contract while also receiving draft pick compensation.

The Warriors backed out of this deal, which was originally centered around D’Angelo Russell going to the T-Wolves. Now, the three-team trade would essentially be for Minnesota to take on an expiring and bring back assets in a lost season. The T-Wolves will still likely pursue D’Lo in the offseason, but for now, it appears the Dubs are standing pat with him.
